Safe Box

Company Background

Require general domestic, commercial or student storage in or around Cambridge? Look no further than SafeBox. SafeBox Self Storage offer modern bespoke facilities, state of the art technology, flexible solutions and a wealth of experience to boot.

Being free from unnecessary clutter sharpens the mind, reduces stress levels and improves productivity. You can focus on moving your life and business forward, secure in the knowledge that your stored items, whether business or personal, are safe, secure and when you need them, instantly accessible.

Vibrant, commercially competitive and committed to customer satisfaction, numerous client testimonials suggest that SafeBox go the extra mile and regularly surpass service expectations. SafeBox already had an excellent reputation in the highly specialized field of Secure Document and Data Storage when, in 2005, recognizing a need in the local area; they decided to create an innovative self storage business.

Charlie Schneider joined SafeBox seven years ago and now manages the site in Cambridge. Previously a ski instructor, Charlie has built up a dedicated team to service his customers. He explains how SafeBox aim to provide a different level of service:

“Our aim has been to create a high quality, flexible storage solution. To that end, we now provide a safe, secure, easily accessible and bone-dry storage environment, situated at the heart of our local community. We aspire to be ‘the Harrods of self storage’ and our service levels support this. We do not use shipping containers or other substandard units, our cutting edge systems mean our security is second to none. Our customers can access our facility whenever it suits them; they can leave with two weeks’ notice and move in at a moment’s notice.”

Innovation, Service and Experience ‒ for your peace of mind

Timing was perfect and such was the demand Charlie was taking bookings before the site officially opened; rooms were being sold before they were built. Business was brisk until the economic climate caused the market to dip. In the summer of 2008 Charlie got in touch with his local DOR-2-DOR franchise run by Debbie Siragher.

1) What were you looking to achieve with your leaflet campaign?

“We wanted to attract customers and raise awareness.”

2) What format is the leaflet and who designed and printed it?

“We went for A5 double sided full colour leaflets. We used local companies to design and print our material.”

“We targeted the local area in and around Cambridge, within a 20 mile radius. Our distribution was considerable – 240,000 leaflets during the summer and winter seasons.”

4) What results did you see?

“We had some good quality leads from the second campaign; the first campaign got our name about and raised awareness. New business and customer recommendations have resulted – our marketing campaign easily paid for itself.”

5) Would you recommend DOR-2-DOR?

“The process was very easy; the leaflet campaigns generated some good quality enquiries and raised our brand awareness. All in all, we received a great service from DOR-2-DOR. They enabled us to educate the market about what we do, make our brand memorable and show people what they were missing out on.”
