Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global Coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities and our way of life.

During this time, we recognise the trust businesses place in us when we deliver leaflets and I wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation at DOR-2-DOR ensuring we keep you and our team members safe.

We are giving our team members facts about COVID-19 and reminding them to follow simple but effective steps to keep them safe such as frequent handwashing. We are disinfecting our facilities and equipment as appropriate. And as always, we are encouraging our team members to take any signs of illness seriously and take the necessary steps as suggested by the UK government.

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, you may have wondered, “Is that leaflet safe to touch?”

The WHO has answered that question for us. They’ve made it clear that it is safe to handle a package, (we are reading that to include leaflets and brochures delivered by our Post People) even if it comes from a place where the virus has been reported.

The effect of the current situation means more people will be working from home, staying at home and self-isolating. Leaflet Distribution and door drops are and will become an even more important method of communicating with the local community. Householders see our friendly Post-People placing messages through their letterbox from local businesses and organisations with a positive perspective and not a threat. Every home has a letterbox, not every home has a computer or TV. Leaflets have far more impact and longevity than digital messages.

As we deal with this crisis, we are monitoring the ever-changing situation and will continue to closely observe the advice and guidelines set by the HM Government and Public Health England. As a result, we have introduced a number of measures that safeguard our staff and Post People whilst as much as possible providing the same level of service you have come to expect from DOR-2-DOR and our network of franchisees.

We have a secure, yet flexible working-from-home policy, restrictions in place for non-critical business travel and will be replacing any scheduled face-to-face client meetings with video or phone calls. Above this, any staff that show signs of illness are advised to self-isolate for the recommended period.

Our team at head office remains committed to your success.
DOR-2-DOR was started during the market meltdown of 1987 and came through it, we experienced the recession of 90-91 and survived. We were there when 9/11 happened and came through stronger. We took the credit crunch of 2007/8 on the chin and built an even more loyal client base on the back of it. And now the tragedy of 2020 is here to challenge us but we will not be defeated and with your loyalty and support we will emerge from it, and better because of it, not in spite of it.

Our company was founded on core values — trust, customer success, innovation, and equality — and our values are unwavering and continue to guide everything we do.

We are here to help in any way we can so if you have any questions please do get in touch.

Yours sincerely,
JeffFrankling
