Jeff Frankling - Founder of Dor-2-DorFlyer Distributors

DOR-2-DOR are a specialist flyer distribution company and through our sister organization D2D-Print we are also a print flyers in various formats in full colour or 2 colour or single colour on tinted paper. Flyer distribution is also known as leaflet distribution and in the UK there is a subtle difference between the two products. Generally speaking we would define a Flyer as an A5 size item generally printed on a heavier stock of 170gm or 200gm. However a leaflet can be an item in a much wider range of sizes and paper thickness.

We herewith give more examples of a flyer suitable for distribution or a leaflet suitable for a door drop campaign. A flyer will be a postcard this can be A6 or A5 and generally of a heaver stock or paper it is driven as an introductory marketing piece ie it will contain a limited amount of information about the product or service being promoted but will have a good headline and a punchy call to action. A leaflet suitable for distribution on the other had can be printed on a wider range of stock from 80gm white paper to 115gm or 150gm triple coated gloss stock or paper printed in full colour. The content on a leaflet can be more comprehensive. ie an A4 leaflet can potentially contain a lot more information about the product or service being promoted although a good headline and call to action is important to ensure maximum impact once posted through the letterbox and onto the doormat. Sometimes leaflets are folded into DL brochures. We do not recommend this however for a door drop as this can lead to a smaller visual item in the mix of material that the householder is picking up following delivery through the letterbox of the items.
